Jacqueline Hurley, creator of "FreeHand Maps", has a B.S. in Primary Education, M.S. in Elementary Education, and earned a K-12 certification in Learning Disabilities. A life-long resident of Wisconsin, Jackie has had the good fortune of being able to teach students in a wide range of settings.

"As a fourth grade classroom teacher and high school teacher for students with learning disabilities, I found it was commonplace for students of varying ages and abilities to struggle with map concepts. This had a negative impact on their reading and listening comprehension. By learning to visualize a few simple maps, students were better able to understand history, social studies, literature, films, and current events. As expected, geography skills improved at the same time."
